HP printer showing as optical drive

Problem occured after reinstall of W10, my printer (Laserjet Pro 400 M401d) was detected as an optical drive. I am using the USB connection.

After tying all usual tricks (device delete, try all USB port 2.0 or 3.0, manual driver installation), I was about to give up and I went back on internet to search for help. Finally, this guy saved me with a so simple solution:

This solution was 14 pages away in my search results..... Should have come first, it would have saved me so much time

FSX Flight simulator fix for WIN10 - Directx 9

Hello,
If you are getting troubles to run FSX on WIN10, here is how to fix the directx9 issue

Go to (or where you installed FSX)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Dovetail Games - Flight\Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010
Then launch DXSETUP

If FSX crashes at start you'll have to run "msxmlfra.msi" in the "Installers" folder of you FSX intallation directory (credits to Dadudd for the trick!)

Enjoy!

REMOVE Cyberlink Power2go desktop burning gadget

Well, I recently installed Power2Go 7 (conflicted with Daemon Tools btw) and I fell upon the VERY annoying desktop gadget. After spending 1H searching the net and being unable to locate a patch that could apparently remove the thing, I went back to the good old DOS like solution.
Start msconfig then go to the Startup tab. Once there locate and untick the Power2go desktop gadget and reboot.

Easy right? Funny that Cyberlink does not provide a simple option to unable their gadget.....
